Hi, I’m Ezra!

Writer. Editor. Communications leader. Bench presser of toddler daughter and weather enthusiast (snowstorms and thunderstorms, mainly). International man of mystery.

It’s all true (everything except the mystery part).

My Background

After graduating from Tufts University with a master’s degree in international relations, my professional journey took me to the Center for Financial Inclusion, where I was a Communications Specialist from 2018 to 2022. Since April 2023, I’ve been working as the Communications Manager on the Middle East and North Africa team at the Center for International Private Enterprise, which strengthens democracy around the world through private enterprise and market-oriented reform.

While you are here, check out my older blog posts about life and events in Turkey. A coup attempt, Gezi Park protests, the Syrian refugee crisis — I experienced a lot in Turkey from 2009-2016, and this blog catalogs those experiences. I enjoyed commenting on a variety of topics related to Turkey: interesting trips in Turkey, Turkish current events, Turkish culture and traditions, and checking out lesser-known cafes and other out-of-the-way places around town.
